It’s Monday, What are you reading?

Hey everyone, It’s Monday, what are you reading? This is a meme that started on J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. The focus is to let you all know what I’ve read recently, what I’m currently reading and what’s up next!

What I’ve Read Recently
Moby Dick.Yes! I finally finished it! After soo long! I’m not sure what I think. I’m still deciding on the review. I can say that it seemed to have a whole lot of non-story chapters…like whale anatomy and uses of whale oil…which kind of through my off. The ending was…interesting. I plan on writing the full review in the next 2 weeks or so.

What I’m Reading Currently
Outrun the Wind. I recieved this book off of Netgalley. I wasn’t really sure what it was about when I accepted it, but I think I will enjoy it. It’s about a huntress caught between duty and love. This plot seems a bit familiar, but I can’t remember it directly from a previous book I’ve read. I hope to finish it soon!

What I’ll Be Reading Next
Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell Gone With The Wind. I’ll be reading this for #theclassicsclub. I dont actually even know much about this book or even story overall….all I know is that it takes place around war time. I’m pretty excited to get into it and hope to have it read by the end of Summer.

I'm an avid reader and love most all books, but my favorite genres tend to be mystery, adventure, science fiction and classics. Genres I tend to shy away from include romance, contemporary fiction and chick lit. If I’m not actually reading books, I’m probably at work shelving them at my local library.

I’ll be eager to hear what you think of Gone With the Wind. I read it as a teen after seeing the movie in a theater that played oldies. I hated the main character which colored my opinion of the book. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

Yeah, i hear that a lot…that the main character can be off putting. I’m not sure what the story is even about so hopefully i can focus on that even if i end up not liking her.

I tried to read Moby Dick in high school, but I didn’t get through it. I couldn’t get through Gone With the Wind either. I don’t really like Southern fiction or the Civil War era – the movie is okay.

I might try to look up the movie thanks for the suggestion. I hope I can atleast finish the book. 🙂

Def wacky but I liked it overall. I bought a leather bound copy to reread later on. This time I read the ebook and listened to the audio.
