I absolutely LOVED 100 Years of Solitude! I definitely wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked it up from a Take a Book, Leave a Book Library in Peru but I devoured this book quickly. I am actually sad that I traded that book away.. I may need to buy a copy eventually.
I hope you enjoy your time with the Buendias!

I think I will like it too! I’ve heard such great things and now that I’ve read the synopsis, it sounds very intriguing! I’m reading one book for review but then I think I will start it! 🙂

Not a fan of him myself, but I’m not into magical realism. I hope you enjoy it!

Oh this is one of my favourite books of all time. I do hope you love it too. In case it helps, all the blasted (loooong) repetitive names do get easier to get your head around. I struggled until about 50 pages in and then something clicked and I was off!

I think I’m on about page 50ish now! I’m liking it pretty well. I really liked how much of a go getter the dad was…. like how opened minded he was to all the gypsies’ new tech….It did sort of got him in trouble though….maybe he was a bit too interested. I’m cant wait to see what happens to the village.
