    WELCOME TO WEEK THREE! (Monday, 15th – Sunday, 21st) Well, we’ve finished the first several chapters, what are you thinking so far? –Chapters 1 & 2– The stranger, who the reader soon learns is Victor Frankenstein, begins his narration. He starts with his family background, birth, and early childhood, telling Walton about his father, Alphonse, and his mother, Caroline. Alphonse became Caroline’s protector when her father, Alphonse’s longtime friend Beaufort, died in poverty. They married two years later, and Victor was born soon after.     WELCOME TO WEEK TWO! (Monday, 8th – Sunday, 14th) Well, what did you think about the first few sections of Frankenstein? I found it vary interesting to get to know a bit about the characters and background…but I must admit… I am ready to meet the Monster and learn his story! –Preface– Frankenstein opens with a preface, signed by Mary Shelley but commonly supposed to have been written by her husband, Percy Bysshe Shelley.
