I really liked this book. I wasn’t sure at first if it was considered a middle grade or young adult, but I think it could be either. Overall I really i found this story delightful and fun. The setting is written with a lot of atmosphere and it’s very easy to picture the scenes as they are happening. Everything is so imaginative. Even the character names are thoughtful. The story is very unique overall. I’ve never really read a book with this concept before. It sort of reminded me of The Testing…but its a lot different too. All of the character’s are written well and have great personalities. I really like the banter and dialog as well as the relationships between the characters. There’s also a bit of a mysterious element. This is part of a trilogy, so I think this book sets a strong foundation for the other two. I have a few ideas about what might happen in book two, so i’m def excited to read it when it comes out.
